American University’s Meltzer Schwartzberg Center for Israel Studies and the Jewish Studies Program host this year’s annual Helen and Daniel Sonenshine Lecture, featuring acclaimed author and former White House speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz in conversation with Professor Pamela Nadell. Sarah Hurwitz is the author of As A Jew: Reclaiming Our Story From Those Who Blame, Shame, and Try To Erase Us, a New York Times bestseller that received both the Natan Notable Book Award and a National Jewish Book Award. At American University, Pamela Nadell holds the Patrick Clendenen Chair in Women’s and Gender History and is the author of the National Jewish Book Award winner Antisemitism, an American Tradition.
